Chicago Stock Exchange has halted trading in all issues effective 1:36pm central time.

The source of yesterday's connection problem at NY4 has been identified and resolved.   Steps have been taken to prevent recurrence of this problem in the future.

All systems are operating normally and in their usual configuration today. 

CHX connection issues at NY4 have been resolved.  Firms may now reconnect to either NY4 or CH2 datacenters. All systems will function in the normal configuration tomorrow as well.

Chicago Stock Exchange continues to experience problems with firm connections at NY4 New Jersey datacenter. We strongly advise that

firms do not send orders through their connections at NY4. We are working to resolve this issue and will advise further as soon as possible.

We are advising that all firms to use their CH2 connection to route all orders. If firms do not have a CH2 connection we are advising that you route orders away from the Chicago Stock Exchange.

Due to internal issues at NY datacenter firms may experience connectivity problems. If firms have connections to both CH2 in Chicago and NY4 in New Jersey we advise sending all orders through CH2.

Due to internal connectivity issues at our NJ datacenter, all stocks traded at Chicago Stock Exchange will trade out of the Chicago datacenter for Monday, September 28th. We do not anticipate any problems with firm connectivity at either datacenter.

The Chicago Stock Exchange in coordination with other market centers has determined to cancel all trades in security PB priced below 47.48 executed at the CHX between 12:43 and 12:44 eastern time. This decision is not subject to appeal. The Chicago Stock Exchange will be canceling trades on the participant's behalf.

From 10:38:00 to 10:44:15 CST, due to a system issue at the UTP SIP, the Chicago Stock Exchange outbound quotes, as well as quotes from other exchanges, were not being received by the SIP. NASDAQ SIP Resolved the issue at 10:44:15. All CHX systems are operating normally.
At 11:12 CST, CHX Halted trading in NASDAQ Tape C Securities due to communication issues at the NASDAQ SIP. All CHX Systems are functioning properly.

At 10:55:23 CST, one of the data communication lines linking the Chicago and NY4 data centers failed. Customers may have experienced a momentary delay while traffic was automatically rerouted to other circuits. All systems are operating normally.
Between 09:37:02 and 09:37:12 CHX experienced a connection failure between its Chicago and East Coast data centers.During that time, firms may have experienced a delay in processing orders that would have traversed that connection. All applications are now operating normally.

Starting at 06:00 CST , CHX has been experiencing Matching Engine problems affecting stock range I-S in Tape B issues. Some orders will be rejected.

During the period August 1 through October 13, 2011, CHX experienced a problem in handling its BBO ISO order type within the CHX Matching System which caused orders of this type to be cancelled upon receipt rather than executed. This problem impacted only orders specifically identified as the BBO ISO order type; orders specified as Price-Penetrating ISO or as ISO but without a specific CHX ISO type were not impacted. A fix for this problem was implemented across all Matching System instances for trading on October 14, 2011. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused
